  • Humanism Seminar

    January 14, 2018 @ 11:30 am - 1:00 pm

    SEMINAR IN HUMANIST PHILOSOPHY
This seminar begins its 10th year this fall. Participants discuss readings on the nature, history and desired future of social ethics, with a view to advancing human welfare. Another concern is scientific methodology as the source of provisional truth about the universe and all life forms. Analytic thinking, rather than recall, is the modus operandi. One can enter the seminar at any time. The only expense is the purchase of agreed-upon books from time to time.

    Days:  Second and Fourth Sunday
    Time:  11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
    Location:  Conference Room
Contact: Diana Goodrow 340-3180 or goodrowdh@aol.com or Julie Moore 653-6296 or werfamilyvideos@aol.com.

What Members Say

What a wonderful place to learn about wonderful things! I am free to express what I want here, without judgement. I have met the most interesting people here, laughed and cried in the sermons openly without shame and found a try community which supports you on any spiritual journey you wish to explore. The amazing children's program is full of wonderful projects my kids are loving. So many fun non religious groups and events here open to the public such as yoga, tai-chi, movie night, book clubs, support groups. I absolutely love the UU community and invite everyone in Ventura to come by!
