How Children Connect to the Church
At the end of each church year, in June, the Religious Education teachers and students plan and lead a worship service to share and celebrate what the children have learned during the past year. This is followed by our annual All-Church Picnic. In addition, youth are invited to apply to become members of our Worship Associates, who plan and lead services throughout the year.
The annual All-Church Campout in late summer is open to all, and is always wonderful. See the Community section for information and pictures of the Welcome BBQ, All-Church Picnic, Campout, Christmas caroling and party and other activities.
Children and youth participate in numerous community service activities during the year. These include such activities as making cards or collecting donations of clothes and toys.
We are committed to nurturing the spiritual lives of our children and youth, helping them to develop moral character and personal integrity. This commitment also includes caring for and supporting our families, and creating a faith community that surrounds these families with love.
