Award-winning author and water activist Florencia Ramirez will be in the UUCV Sanctuary to discuss her latest book “Eat Less Water.” Florencia exposes the seldom-seen connection between dwindling water resources and the choices we make when shopping for groceries for our families. She offers us a solution that begins in the kitchen. She’ll explain why our efforts to conserve water should focus on the 70% of freshwater flowing to the fields and ranches that grow our food.
The book and Florencia have earned high praise: “’Eat Less Water’ is as clever as its title. It’s a thoughtful book complete with recipes that are good for your taste buds and the planet. Read it as a reminder our world’s most precious resource is in jeopardy—and we can do something about it. Read it to find out how.” (Thomas M. Kostigen, New York Times bestselling author of The Green Book)
