Our church has many committees - each doing an important task of organizing and helping to carry out the priorities and direction from our Board. Committees do a lot of the work, and are always looking for how to engage and involve more of the congregation.
Adult Programs Committee
Sets up programs to explore and discuss various topics, such as voluntary simiplicity, discussion groups on fun and serious books, classes on Unitarian Universalist history and values.
The Building & Grounds Committee is responsible for the upkeep of our building and the grounds.
On the 3rd Saturday of every month we have a work day at the church from 9am until 12pm. Come for the whole 3 hours or for just an hour - we welcome whatever help you might be able to give to us.
We need help in many forms, too - be it organizing our storage space, sweeping leaves and pulling weeds, heavy lifting or supplying food and refreshment to the crew; we welcome it all.
We meet on the second Tuesday of each month in the Committee Room at 6:30pm. Meetings usually last an hour, at most an hour and a half. We go over the coming work day plans, vet maintenance issues and determine what we can do ourselves and what perhaps we need to hire outside help to accomplish. Our meetings are fun (really) and all are welcome to attend.
Members include: Dale Condra, Tom MacCalla, Lee O'Neil, Bill Peltola and Merle Oberg, Joyce Sattler, and Drew Story.
